The  symbol  “*”  before  the  command  description  means  that  there  is 
the configuration example to describe the command in details later. 

traffic-meter 

This  command  is  used  to  create  a  traffic  meter.  A  complete  traffic 
meter  configuration  includes  the  configurations  for  the  actions  and 
modes  of  red  and  yellow  packets.  The  incomplete  configuration  does 
not  take  effect.  Besides,  if  the  traffic  meter  wants  to  take  effect, 

meter enable

 needs to be configured in config-meter mode.

Description 

traffic-meter 

To  define  a  traffic  meter.  The 
command enters the configuration 
mode of the traffic meter. 

traffic-meter-name 

The  name  of  the  traffic  meter.  If 
the  traffic  meter  name  does  not 
exist, create a new one. 

 
[Configuration mode] Global configuration mode 
[Default status] By default, no traffic meter is configured. 
 
The no format of the command is used to delete a traffic meter.

traffic-meter-name 

meter action 

This command is used to configure the action of remarking the red and 
yellow  packets.  The  action  can  be  straight-through,  modifying  or 
discarding. 
 
The dp in the command means discarding the priority. Once the packet 
labels to discard the priority, it enters into corresponding queue in the 
output  port.  Schedule  the  packet  according  to  the  queue  scheduling 
arithmetic  configured  on  the  output  port.  For  queue  scheduling 
configuration, please refer to the chapter of Qos configuration.
