Syntax 

Description

To configure the name of the standby interface of the RIP interface 

timeout-value

 

To configure the timeout of the standby interface of the RIP interface; the unit is 
second  and  the  value  range  is  0-65535.  When  the  parameter  is  set  as  0,  it 
means that the standby interface does not time out forever.

ip rip tag 

This  command  is  used  to  configure  the  route  tag  of  RIP  direct-connected  subnet  on  the 

interface.  The  route  tag  is  to  let  the  user  add  one  tag  to  some  routes  for  some  special 

process,  such  as  the  route  filtering  during  route  re-distribution.  The  no  format  of  the 

command is used to cancel the route tag of RIP direct-connected subnet on the interface.

ip split-horizon 

This command is used  to configure RIP to  enable horizon splitting or  poisoned  reversion 

on  the  interface.  The  horizon  splitting  and  poisoned  reversion  are  valid  only  for  the 

learned routes, the direct-connected routes of the network covered by RIP, re-distributed 

direct-connected and static routes.  The no format of the  command is used to  cancel the 

horizon splitting or poisoned reversion of RIP on the interface.
