flexible vlan dot1q-tunnel mapping table of 
a port  

switch(config-port-0/1)# vlan dot1q-tunnel drop 

To  delete  the  configuration  that  the  port 
supports only the items in the flexible table  

switch(config-port-0/2)#frame-tag tpid 0x9100 

To  configure  the  TPID  of  a  port.  The 
default  value  of  TPID  is  0x8100;  users 
cannot configure the TPID as the values of 
other protocol types.   

switch(config-port-0/2)#no frame-tag tpid 

To delete the configured TPID of the port. 
The TPID is recovered to the  default value 
0x8100. 

 

The  flexible  Vlan  dot1q  tunnel  (mapping)  takes  effect  only  when  basic  Vlan  dot1q  tunnel 
function is enabled on the port. 
 
If  the  new  items  in  the  flexible  Vlan  dot1q  tunnel  (mapping)  table  conflict  with  the  existing 
ones, the system deletes all conflicting items automatically, and resets new items for the table.

function  is  realized  through  the  mapping  between 

flexible Vlan dot1q tunnel (mapping) and the port VLAN. Therefore, users need to add a Vlan 
dot1q tunnel (mapping) port into the external VLAN (mapping VLAN) via configuration.  
 
The items of the flexible Vlan dot1q tunnel (mapping) table cannot be configured on the Access 
port. 
 
When a port switches to the Access type from Hybrid type or Trunk mode type, all the items in 
the flexible Vlan dot1q tunnel (mapping) table are deleted. 
 
The system supports a total of 1024 items in a flexible Vlan dot1q tunnel (mapping) table. 
 

Example of Applying Vlan dot1q tunnel 

 
PE1  and  PE2  are  devices  of  the  carrier  network;  Customer  A,  Customer  B  and  Customer  are 
devices of the user network. 
 
Networking requirements: the VLAN 10 packet of the Customer A  connects with the VLAN 10 
packet of the Customer C via the VLAN 100 of the carrier network. The VLAN 20 packet of the 
Customer  B  connects  with  the  VLAN  20  packet  of  the  Customer  C  via  the  VLAN  200  of  the 
carrier network.
