The function of preventing the brute-force attack on user login password is to prevent the

illegal users from cracking the user name and password used for logging into the Signamax

switch. When the system finds that the authentication failure times of continued login from a

user reaches the specified times, the system forbids the login connection from that IP address

in a given period.

The function of preventing the fast connection is to prevent the illegal users from initiating a

great deal of login requests to the switch in a short period which occupies a lot of system and

network resources. If the times of repeatedly logging into a switch from a user reaches the

configured times, the system forbids the login connection requests from that IP address in a

given period.

The commands for configuring the login security service are as follows:
