After  configuring  the  authentication  mode,  the  OSPF  interface  needs  to 
be  authenticated  first  when  receiving  the  OSPF  protocol  packets.  The 
packets  can  be  received  only  after  passing  authentication.  Therefore,  if 
two  OSPF  interfaces  need  to  set  up  neighboring  relation,  the 
authentication mode and authentication password must be consistent. 

 

Usually,  the  authentication  mode  and  authentication  password  must  be 

configured  separately.  To  be  compatible  with  the  old  version,  when  the 

authentication  mode  is  not  configured,  the  corresponding  authentication 

mode  is  specified  when  configuring  one  authentication  password  for  the 

first time. For example, at first no any authentication mode is configured, 

and  then  the  MD5  authentication  mode  is  configured  by  default  when 

configuring one MD5 key-id and password for the first time. 

 

ip ospf hello-interval 

This command is used to set the interval for the interface to send the 
hello  packets.  The  default  value  depends  on  the  network  type  of  the 
interface.  For  the  broadcast  and  point-to-point  network,  the  default 
value  is  10s;  for  the  NBMA  and  point-to-multipoint  network,  the 
default value is 30s. The no format of the command is used to recover 
the default value of the interval.

You  can  specify  the  hello-packet  of  one  address  on  the 
OSPF interface separately.

the value range is 1-65535.
