Slot: Indicates slots on the device; the serial number starts from 0. If there is a fixed port,
the slot number 0 is reserved for the fixed port. The serial number of the service slot starts
from 1; the serial number of the control card is irrelevant with that of the service slot.
Sub-Slot: Indicates sub-slots which exist only on rack devices; the serial number starts from
0. If there is a fixed port, the slot number 0 is reserved for the fixed port.
Port: Indicates physical ports on the device or the card; the serial number of the fixed
port on each device, card and sub-card starts from 0.
Basic Concept of portlist
Whether configuring or displaying, Signamax switches use portlist to select ports.
portlist can be one of the following situations:
A sing port: such as “0/1”
；
Continuous Ports: use “-“to represent a section of continuous ports. For example, “0/3-
0/5” means port 3,4,5.
Include both a single port and continuous ports: use comma to separate them. For
example, to represent the fixed ports 1, 3, 4, 6 on a desktop device, you can write in the
format of “port 0/1
，
0/3-0/4,0/6”.
