MOVIDRIVE® MDR60A regenerative power supply unit
Technical Data and Dimension Drawings
Features of the
regenerative
power supply unit
compared to an
inverter with
braking resistors
•
Energy balance: Regenerative power is fed back into the supply system instead of
being converted into waste heat.
•
Less installation work with several inverters (network and braking resistor connec-
tions). However, a braking resistor is required to bring the drive to a controlled stop
even when there is a disruption in the supply system.
•
Reduction in use of control cabinet space and fan power if the braking resistor was
previously installed in the control cabinet.
