CALL PICKUP - DIRECT
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
This service feature allows a station user to pick up a call to any other station in the system by dialling
a specific CALL PICKUP code.
STATION APPLICATION
All stations
OPERATING PROCEDURE
To pickup an incoming call:
1. Lift handset; receive Dial Tone.
2. Dial CALL PICKUP - DIRECT code; receive Second Dial Tone.
3. Dial the specific station number to be picked up; incoming call is connected to your station.
SERVICE CONDITIONS
1. This feature is provided on a per line basis, based on the station CLASS OF SERVICE - INDIVID-
UAL.
2. A station in a fully restricted class cannot answer a central office call using CALL PICKUP - DIRECT.
3. If the ringing call is a result of CALL BACK, OUTGOING TRUNK QUEUEING recall, it cannot be
picked up by any station.
4. This feature can be accessed from the Attendant Console.
5. A busy station can accomplish CALL PICKUP - DIRECT by placing an existing call on CALL HOLD.
6. If a station is being rung as a result of a CALL HOLD or CALL TRANSFER recall, it can be picked-
up by another station using CALL PICKUP - DIRECT.
