BOSS SECRETARY-MESSAGE WAITING LAMP CONTROL-D

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
This feature enables a secretary to control the Message Waiting (MW) lamp on the boss’ station
through the secretary’s station.
STATION APPLICATION
Any type of station as boss’ extension and D
term
with appearance of boss’ extension at secretary posi-
tion.
OPERATING PROCEDURES
Example: Boss : station 200
(Single Line Telephone with MW lamp or D
term
)
Secretary : station 201
(D
term
).
1. The boss is currently out. (Call Forwarding is not set.)
2. The secretary answers a call for the boss through the Sub Line of station 201.
3. The secretary receives a message from the calling party, and sets the MW lamp on the boss’s sta-
tion.
To set a MW indication:
1. Depress Speaker key.
2. Depress MW set key or Dial MW set access code.
3. Depress the line key of station 200 on which the MW indication is to be set.
4. The MW lamp of station 200 comes on.
To cancel
MW
indication:
1. Depress
Speaker
key.
2. Depress
MW
cancel key or Dial MW cancel access code.
3. Depress the line key of station 200.
4. The MW lamp of station 200 goes off.
SERVICE CONDITIONS
1. Any number of D
term
s within the system can be assigned to activate this feature.
2. When MW has already been set, a station will receive Service Set Tone.
3. Any other station than that which has set the MW indication can cancel the indication.
