DIAL BY NAME - D

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
This feature allows D
term
user to search the desired number by name. The number and name are regis-
tered in the system and they are shown on the LCD of D
term
. The D
term
user can search the desired number
by name with
UP
or
DOWN
key appeared on the SOFT KEY. When D
term
user finds desired number, the
call is originated by depressing the Line/Trunk key or going off hook.

OPERATING PROCEDURE
To search calling number by name and originate a call by SPEED CALLING - SYSTEM:
1. From idle status, press
SYS
key on SOFT KEY.
2. Enter a name by keypad.
3. Press
UP
or
DOWN
key on SOFT KEY.
4. The name and its telephone number are shown on the LCD.
5. Press
UP
or
DOWN
key to find a required name and telephone number.
6. After find the desired name and number, press Line/Trunk key or go off hook to originate a call.
To search calling number by name and originate a call by SPEED CALLING - STATION:
1. From idle status, press
STA
key on SOFT KEY.
2. Enter a name by keypad.
3. Press
UP
or
DOWN
key on SOFT KEY.
4. The name and its telephone number are shown on the LCD.
5. Press
UP
or
DOWN
key to find a required name and telephone number.
6. After find the desired name and number, press Line/Trunk key or go off hook to originate a call.
To register a name and number for call by SPEED CALLING - STATION:
1. From idle status, press
STA
key on SOFT KEY.
2. Press

key and enter a name. The LCD displays the name typed in.
3. Press

key and enter a number. The LCD displays the number dialed.
4. Press

”
SERVICE CONDITIONS
1. Service
a. Up to 32 D
term
s are available to use this feature at the same time.
b. The D
term
returns to idle status after the ten seconds from pressing
SYS
/
STA
key and no key opera-
tion is activated.
c. If the memory block for SPEED CALLING is not assigned to the D
term
, the
SYS
/
STA
key is not
effected when the D
term
user presses these keys.
d. This service feature is ended or interrupted by pressing the
Hold
key.
e. When the D
term
uses this feature, the incoming call to My Line is rejected.
