9. The
Hold
key on D
term
s can be used during a conference to place the other parties on hold (exclusive
or nonexclusive). The other parties can continue to converse.
l0. Retrieval of the first party on D
term
s (after depressing the Transfer key dialing another party and
receiving ringback with no answer or Busy Tone) is accomplished by depressing the Transfer key.
Use of the Recall key instead will provide Special Dial Tone and allows calling another party.
11. When attempting to call a second internal party after a hookflash, and the Single Line Telephone user
encounters internal Busy Tone or internal ringback with no answer, the user can return to the first party
by hookflashing again.
12. When a call is made to a second external party after a hookflash, the next hookflash will result in a con-
ference. By hookflashing again, the last connection is released, returning the Single Line Telephone
user to the original party.
13. CALL BACK and MESSAGE WAITING can be set to stations involved in a three- or four-party con-
ference.
14. Amplification is provided for Conferences.
15. When a Single Line Telephone or D
term
user goes on-hook during a three-party conference with two
outside parties, a tandem connection will be established if one of the trunks provides a release signal.
If neither trunk provides a release signal, the trunks will be dropped. Re-entry into this tandem con-
nection is not possible.
16. When a D
term
user depresses the Conf key prior to going on-hook during a three-party conference with
two outside parties, a tandem connection will be established (Hold indication is provided). Reentry
into this tandem connection is accomplished by depressing the held line key.
17. An internal party must be off-hook using the handset (or in speakerphone mode) in order to be
included in a conference.
