DELAY OPERATION
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
A station user, after having asked an Attendant to originate an outgoing C.O. Line call, hangs up and
waits for connection. The Attendant, upon seizing a C.O. Line, re-rings the station and sets up the
requested outgoing connection.
OPERATING PROCEDURE
1. Attendant answers operator call by depressing the ANS , ATND or LOOP keys.
2. Depress RELEASE key; receives Reorder Tone.
3. Station user replaces the handset onto the switchhook and waits for recall from Attendant.
4. Attendant depresses the LOOP Key.
a. Dial the C.O. code.
b. Dial the desired central office number.
c. Announce the call when the party answers.
5. Attendant depresses START key and dial the station user’s number.
6. Station user answers the call.
7. Attendant depresses RELEASE key. Then station user and called party are connected.
SERVICE CONDITIONS
1. Station users for RCH class CLASS OF SERVICE - INDIVIDUAL, cannot connect to the C.O. Line.
Therefore, the Attendant should confirm the station user class before placing an operator call.
