ATTENDANT OVERRIDE
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
This service feature permits an Attendant to enter a busy trunk connection within the system via the
Attendant Console. Upon activation, a warning tone will be heard by the connected parties, after which
they will be connected with the Attendant in a three-way bridge.

OPERATING PROCEDURE
To activate ATTENDANT OVERRIDE:
1. Depress
LOOP
key
2. Dial feature access code for INDIVIDUAL TRUNK ACCESS.
3. Dial desired Trunk number (4 digits)
4. Upon receiving busy tone, depress
BV
key.
5. A two-burst tone is sent to connected parties
6. Attendant may now monitor or join the connection.
7. Depress
RELEASE
key to disengage.
SERVICE CONDITIONS
1. This feature may be utilized during Trunk-to-Trunk calls (COT, Tie Lines).
2. ATTENDANT OVERRIDE can be set when the busy trunk is talking with another trunk or station as
two party conversation. Therefore, ATTENDANT OVERRIDE may be denied if the busy trunk mode
is:
a. Dialling mode
b. Consultation Hold-All Calls
c. Talk to another Attendant
In each of the above instances, the Attendant will receive a Reorder Tone.
3. ATTENDANT OVERRIDE and ATTENDANT LOCKOUT are mutually exclusive features.
4. Each tone burst is 0.08 seconds in duration and is applied to alert both parties that the Attendant is
overriding the conversation.
5. This feature can be denied on DICTATION ACCESS and PAGING ACCESS.
6. Trunks in a Station-to-Trunk connection, Trunk-to-Trunk connection can be verified when busy.
7. If the called trunk is connected to a station which has activated the DATA LINE SECURITY, Reorder
Tone will be transmitted.
