CALL WAITING - STATION
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
This feature provides selected stations with camp-on capability to a busy internal station.
STATION APPLICATION
All stations
OPERATING PROCEDURE
To activate:
1. Dial desired station number; receive Busy Tone.
2. Momentarily depress the hookswitch; receive Special Dial Tone.
3. Dial CALL WAITING - STATION code or depress

Tone, and CALL WAITING tone (one tone burst) is sent to busy station.
To answer a call:
1. CALL WAITING tone is heard during call in progress.
2. Momentarily depress the hookswitch or depress

3. CALL WAITING - STATION call is automatically connected.

call and second call will be held.
OR
1. CALL WAITING tone is heard during call in progress.
2. Called station hangs up; priority ringing is sent.
3. Lift handset to answer.
SERVICE CONDITIONS
1. Once CALL WAITING - STATION is activated to a given station, other stations attempting CALL
WAITING - STATION to this station will receive Reorder Tone.
2. CALL WAITING tone is 1 burst, 160 ms ON and 160 ms OFF for a normal station, 3 bursts for a VIP
class station.
3. The ability to activate this feature must be assigned in the call originator’s CLASS OF SERVICE -
INDIVIDUAL programming.
4. CLASS OF SERVICE - INDIVIDUAL for the called station must be programmed for CALL WAIT-
ING - CALLED SIDE.
5. There are 28 stations which can access this feature simultaneously.
6. CALL WAITING - STATION can be set only if the called station is busy on a two-party call with
another station or trunk.
