The blue block is the active acquisition block. A Block can be activated (blue) and selected (enlarged) with
a right mouse click or choosing
Activate
from the context menu of the left mouse click. Hardware and
software is then changed to match the acquisition parameters of this activated (blue) block.
A left mouse click only selects a block (enlarged) but does not activate it (still grey). Hard- and software
settings are not changed, they still represent the settings of the blue block. Wait and Delay blocks can be
selected with a right or left mouse click. With a left mouse click a context menu opens which allows to
Disable/Enable
a block.
Disabled blocks are crossed out and will not be executed within the experiment. If only one acquisition
block is present it cannot be disabled. Disabled blocks have to be enabled first before they can be
activated.
New Blocks are added using the
Create
drop down list:
−
A
Acquisition Block
is used for image acquisition which is performed according to the acquisition
parameter settings
−
A
Delay Block
sets a time delay between two blocks (not effective if defined as the very last block
of a Multi block experiment). The delay time is set using the Delay slider which shows up when
selecting a Delay Block. The time unit can be selected from the drop down list ranging from
milliseconds (ms) to days (d).
−
A
Wait Block
pauses the acquisition until the user actively confirms the message box. The message
of this box is typed into the editing field which shows up when a Wait Block is selected.
Use
Duplicate
to create a duplicate of the selected block. The duplicated block will be added as the last
block. It will be active and selected.
Each Block icon shows as smaller icons or in writing its content like the delay time, the message or the
acquisition dimensions (T for time, Z for Z-Stack, C for Channels, P for Positions and M for Tile scan).
The number of enabled acquisition blocks of the total Multi Block experiment is indicated underneath the
row of block icons.
