CHAPTER 5 - MULTIPHOTON LASER SCANNING …

Horizontal shift of the image generated with Beam1 (NLO laser) to the right

(To shift the image horizontally to the left, just use the reverse direction buttons):

1.

Click on the right "fine movement" button of Beam1/Output/Axis2 repeatedly until an image
shift and illumination change is visible (image gets darker).

2.

Now click on the right "fine movement" button of Beam1/Input/Axis2 repeatedly until the image

is bright again.
-> The image generated by the NLO laser now has shifted a small distance to the right.

3.

Repeat steps 1 & 2 until the images of both beams are aligned horizontally.

If the offset is quite large, use the coarse buttons (not more than one click at once).
