5.2.8.8 Acquisition Mode Settings for
Airyscan
Objective, Scan Area, Zoom
The required acquisition settings for the Airyscan
are set in the
Acquisition Mode tool (Fig. 140).
•
Make sure to select a high performance
objective (e.g. PSF selected Plan-Apochromat or
C-Apochromat objective with 40x-100x
magnification).
•
For optimal resolution, the scan area should be
centered and the zoom should have a factor of
at least 1.7x or higher.
•
Zoom factors with negative influence on the
resolution will be displayed in red.
Frame Size, Optimal
•
The required number and size of pixels to
achieve increased resolution with the Airyscan is
set automatically by pressing the
Optimal
button (Fig. 141).
This will take into account which detection mode is
used for the Airyscan (SR, VP or CO, see
Channels
dialog (Fig. 144)).
