Configure your experiment
The fluorescent labels used for staining the
sample need to be added to the table in
Configure your experiment
.
Dyes are added to this list from a searchable
library containing almost all commercially
available fluorescent labels (Fig. 71).
This library is part of a pop-up menu that
becomes available upon clicking the arrow
symbols in the
Dye
column (Fig. 72).
Searching for dyes is done by typing the
name of a dye into the
Search
box and then
selecting it from the list. Alternatively, the
most recently used dyes can be picked from
the upper section of the panel.
A color representation of the dyes (LUT) is
added automatically and graphically
displayed as a small icon (box) next to the
dye. The color code is changed by clicking
the arrows in the
Color column (Fig. 72).
The color code specified here will be used for
a given dye in all graphical representations in
Smart Setup . Dyes can be added or
removed from the list with . A dye
configuration table in Smart Setup may
contain up to four different dyes.
