Tool accepts data recorded in SIM mode on ELYRA. In data sets containing other
types of image data as well ("mixed mode" files), this tool selectively processes the
SIM data. "Experimental PSF" (requires Z-stacks of point-like objects) and "Fourier
Transform" accepts input other than SIM data as well. See full description of tool set
for details.
The
Processing Structured Illumination tool works exclusively for data acquired in the SIM imaging
mode. It subdivides in 4 subcategories (

):

Fourier transform : Calculates the spatial frequencies and displays them in an image. No phase
information will be available.

Modulation contrast
: Determines the modulation contrast from an image with beads to serve as
a diagnostic tool.

Structured Illumination
: calculates the high resolution image from the set of structured images
−
TIRF filtered : Will apply the TIRF sectioning to the SIM image if the TIRF was added as the last
frame.
