7 Specification of Trigger-Interface
The LSM provide two ways to control external devices or be controlled via external devices.
Synchronization signals:
This interface is provided directly by the electronics of the system and cannot be influenced via the user
inter face. These signals are always present according to their specification. By connecting to the user
interface connector these signals can be used to control external devices or synchronize external devices,
like for example pulse generators, with the LSM. The detailed specification of these signals is described
below.
The signal itself is identical to the signal of the pixelclock but is only set for one pixel.
Trigger signals:
The second interface is accessible via the software user interface in the tools
Time Series
and
Bleaching
and can be used to accept or provide signals for the following actions:

Change interval of time series acquisition
−
Set a marker within the time series acquisition
−
Start Time Series
−
End Time Series (and resume Time series when starting again with TriggerIN)
−
Start Bleach event
Each signal itself is identical in length to the signal of the pixelclock but is only set for the time of one
pixel.

The label synchronous refers to the data stream PCIe2LVDS.
The label asynchronous refers to the data stream PCIe2LVDS. .
