Maintaining the Analyzer

BIOHAZARD

 

All products or objects that come in contact with human or animal body fluids 
should be handled, before and after cleaning, as if capable of transmitting 
infectious diseases. Wear facial protection, gloves, and protective clothing. 

The operator should follow the recommendations to prevent the transmission of 
infectious agents in health-care settings as recommended for potentially 
infectious specimens in

To clean the syringes and plungers 

1.

 

Remove the syringe. 

a.

 

Turn the thumb wheel (

) counterclockwise 

 until the plunger is lowered about ½ inch 

(1.27 cm). 

b.

 

Disconnect the input (

) and output (

) 

fittings from the syringe head. 

c.

 

Remove the nut and washer that secure the 
syringe at the top. Slide the syringe barrel 
down toward the bottom of the carriage to 
clear the mounting hole, then remove.
