Troubleshooting the Analyzer
ELECTRICAL WARNING
To avoid exposure to shock hazards and/or damage to the instrument while
performing this procedure, power off the analyzer before proceeding.
Analyzer mode: Off
1.
Remove the screw (
1
) that secures the lamp
adapter cap, then remove the cap. Be
careful not to lose the two washers. Keep
the hardware and the cap.
2.
Disconnect the cables (
2
).
3.
Using the hex wrench, loosen the set screw
(
3
) to release the old lamp, then remove it.
4.
Gently push the new lamp into the housing
as far as it will go, then secure it by
tightening the set screw.
5.
Reconnect the cables. Replace the lamp-
adapter cap and secure it with the screw.
6.
Turn the analyzer power on. Check that there are no error messages on the
Status line relating to hemoglobin colorimeter baseline readings.
7.
At the Operations menu, select the
Startup
tab. Select
Refresh
and check the
Hgb baseline transmission value (Hgb Trans). If the baseline value is not
acceptable, adjust it to 4.1.
8.
Run controls to verify analyzer performance. If controls are not acceptable,
then recalibrate the hemoglobin channel.
Replacing the Hydraulic Valves
There are six hydraulic valves: three are located below the perox flowcell, and
three are below the RBC/baso/retic flowcell.
