slipper m ust be installed as shown in figure 7. Use ex
trem e caution that all springs are in their proper posi
tion.
4. Insert rotor and shaft assembly into pum p body so
that slippers and rotor are inside the body cam (fig.
8). Use caution to keep slippers flush with rotor as
assembly is pushed into place and w rapped wire is re
moved.
5. Apply lubricant to rotor and slippers, then rotate to
be sure that slippers are not cocked.
6. Install new O-ring on front insert, then position insert
over drive shaft with pin punch m arks on insert and
body aligned. S upport inner end of drive shaft while
insert is pressed into body.
7. Install spanner nut and using a spanner wrench or 1/4
inch drift and ham m er thread nut into body until pin
punch m arks on body, insert, and nut are in align
ment.
8. Install spring in spool valve, then lubricate valve and
install in pum p body. Install new O-ring in valve plug
and install in body behind valve. Secure plug in body
with snap ring.
