Configuring a Multiband (Enhanced Multi-Carrier ABC) Link Using the
Quick Configuration Wizard

To configure a Multiband node using the Quick Configuration wizard:
1 Connect the external switch to the Eth1 port on the IP-20E.
2 Connect the Eth2 port on the IP-20E to the slave unit. When the slave unit is
an IP-20C or IP-20S, use the Eth2 port on the IP-20C or IP-20S.
3 Verify that no service points are configured on the Eth2 port of the IP-20E. If
there are service points on Eth2, remove them. See
4 On the IP-20E, select
Quick Configuration > PIPE > Multi Carrier ABC >
Multiband
. Page 1 of the Multiband Quick Configuration wizard opens.

5 In the
Pipe Type
field, select the Attached Interface type for the service that
will connect the radio and Ethernet interfaces. Options are:

s-tag
–
All S-VLANs and untagged frames are classified into the service.
◦
dot1q
–
All C-VLANs and untagged frames are classified into the service.

6 In the
Ethernet Interface
field, select the port connected to the external
switch. This should be
Ethernet: Slot 1, Port 1
.
7 In the
Radio #1 Interface
field, select Radio: Slot 2, Port 1.
