Validation
Validates the alarm conditions to limit
nuisance alarms due to artifact or motion/
movement by delaying time to alarm.
NOTE:
When the
Alarm Validation
setting is set to
ON
, the time to alarm from
the onset of a limit violation equals the time
for detection plus the designated alarm
validation signal delay. For HR, this time
may exceed the maximum of 10 seconds
as required by AAMI EC13 and IEC
60601-2-27.

Allows user to prevent disabling of ASY

WARNING:
When the HR alarm
is set to OFF and ARR
monitoring is set to “OFF”, the
monitor cannot generate ASY/VF
alarms.

– ASY and VFIB
alarms are always active.

Follow HR Alarms
(default) –
ASY and VFIB alarms follow the
HR alarm settings.
