Setup Menu and Quick Reference Table
To access the NBP setup menu
Click on the NBP parameter box on the main screen;
or
1. Press the
Menu
fixed key on the monitor.
2. Click on
Patient Setup
.
3. Click on
Parameters
in the second column.
4. Click on
NBP
. The NBP menu appears.
The following table briefly describes functions available on the NBP menu.
Function Description Settings
Interval Time Sets interval for series of single
NBP measurements
• OFF, 1, 2, 2.5, 3, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 45,
60, 120, 240 min
Venous Stasis Stops blood flow to lower part of
cuffed limb for a fixed time
• OFF
• ON
Continuous
Mode
Initiates successive NBP
measurements for 5 minutes
• OFF
• ON
Inflation Limit Sets threshold for maximum cuff
inflation, initial inflation will be
less.
• Neonatal patient category:
140 mmHg
• Pediatric patient category:
Pediatric - 180 mmHg
Neonatal - 140 mmHg
• Adult patient category:
Adult - 270 mmHg
Pediatric - 180 mmHg
Neonatal - 140 mmHg
NOTE : The inflation limit can be set equal to
or below the maximum for the selected
patient category (see above). No other
parameter functions are affected.
