1. Check if there are no abnormal opening angles or that the valve is
not stuck.

1. Perform the SCV free acceleration test.
• For a detailed procedure, refer to the separate "SCV free acceler-
ation test" in the following pages.
NO YES
Check the injection quantity and the rotational fluctuation.
1. Start the engine
2. Select [Injection quantity] from the [Data Monitor] menu, and mea-
sure the fuel injection quantity.
3. Select [Engine speed] from the [Data Monitor] menu, and measure
the rotational fluctuation.

Inspect the diesel throttle valve
Was any failure found?
Replace the diesel throttle valve.
Perform "After-inspection work" of INFOR-
MATION section. Go to step 18.

Inspect the SCV
Was any failure found?
Repair or replace the faulty part.
Perform "After-inspection work" of INFOR-
MATION section. Go to step 19.
