Once the master department code exists, you can create, edit, or delete
other department codes from the copier control panel or using TopAccess.

Creating Additional Department Codes

In TopAccess, click the Counters
tab.

Click the Copy/Print submenu.

In the
Enter a department code to access department counters
field enter the
master department code.

Click
Enter
.

Click
New
. The Add New Department Code window appears.

Enter the new department code and the new department name.
Note: The system supports a maximum of 500 department codes.

Click
OK
.
Displaying Print and Copy Totals
Regardless of whether the department code feature is enabled, you can
click the Counters tab in TopAccess to display the print and copy totals.
Department Code Functionality
There are three possible cases:
The department code feature is disabled
The department code feature is enabled, but enforcement is not
Both the department code feature and the enforcement option are
enabled.
Department Code Feature is Disabled
In this case:
The controller ignores any department codes submitted with a print
job and does not prompt you to enter the code. This applies to all
jobs, including raw and non-Windows operating system jobs.
In the printer drivers, the
Department Code
label and
Edit
field are
disabled.
In TopAccess, the
Enforce Department Codes
option is unavailable.
