Log in as an administrator.

On the Administration tab, click the
Setup
subtab.

Wireless Network
link. The Wireless Network page opens.

In the IPX/SPX area, click the
Protocol
drop-down list.

Enable
to enable IPX/SPX.

Frame Type
drop-down list.

Select the appropriate setting.

Configuring TCP/IP Settings
If you are using the TCP/IP networking protocol for any wireless network
traffic involving the controller, you must enable the TCP/IP protocol on
the wireless NIC. The TCP/IP protocol is enabled by default. If you are not
using TCP/IP for any wireless network traffic, disabling the TCP/IP
protocol on the wireless NIC reduces overhead and improves efficiency.

drop-down list.

Static IP

DHCP

Note: If
DHCP
is selected, the

fields are not displayed.

Enter the
IP Address

Subnet Mask
, and
Gateway Address
if appropriate.

Enter the address of the
Primary DNS Server
.

Enter the address of a
Secondary DNS Server

Configuring Wireless DDNS
Dynamic DNS services allow a DHCP server to set the device Host Name
at the same time that it sets the IP address, gateway, and other
parameters. For those sites with large numbers of printers, DDNS allows
new printers to be configured automatically.
To configure DDNS:
