Font Pitch
If the pitch is specified, the
net_gl10X0
program always selects the
Courier font; otherwise it selects the default font. The following options
are used to select the font pitch.
In all of the cases shown above the courier font is also selected. When the
pitch changes, the font size is automatically scaled to the appropriate
size.
If this option is not specified, the default pitch and font are used.
Example: The command to specify 8 characters per inch is
lp –o
pitch=8 <filename
>.
Page Length
Specify the number of lines to print on a page with the following option.
As the e-STUDIO systems are page printers, we cannot change the
physical length of a piece of paper, so the actual effect of this command is
to change the value for lines per inch so that the requested number of
lines is printed on the page. The actual page length may differ from this
value if the top margin or the text length option is used.
If this option is not specified, the default value is used. The minimum
page length allowable is
5
. If <value> is less than
5
, the page length is set
to
5
.
For example, the command to specify 66 lines per page is
lp –o pl=66
<filename>
.
