4.7 Call Park
Description
Call Park establishes a virtual location called an Orbit to hold a call where other users can
retrieve the call through a dial code. Typically, a call is parked at a location (601 to 610) and a
page made to inform the desired user of the call and Park orbit. The paged user can then
access the call from any phone connected to the system by dialing the Park orbit.
While Parked, the held party receives MOH. Also, Parked calls recall after the Call Park
Recall timer expires. If not answered in the Station Auto Release Timer, the recall will stop.
Operation
To park a call,
1. Press the [TRANS/PGM] button.
2. Dial the Park location 601-610.
3. Replace the handset or go on-hook.
4. Page the desired user to retrieve the call (refer to Ref. A).
To retrieve the parked call from a system phone,
1. Lift the Handset or press the On/Off button.
2. Dial the Park location to retrieve the call.
Consideration

If the call remains unanswered for the duration of the Call Park Recall time, the station
that parked the call will receive a recall. For CO line calls, if the call is still unanswered,
then the attendant will receive the recall. If the Attendant does not answer again in the
Attendant Recall time, the CO line call will be disconnected and the line will be returned to
an idle state.

In case of an internal call, the call terminates after the I-Hold Recall time.
