CO Line Queuing
Description
If busy tone is received when attempting to access a CO line, the user may request to queue
for the CO line and receive a call back when the line becomes available. When the CO line or
line from the same CO Group becomes available, the System will reserve the line and call the
station. The user must answer the call back within 15 seconds or the queue is cancelled and
the next station in queue, if any, is offered the line.
Operation
To activate CO line queuing while receiving busy tone,
1. Press the [CALL BACK] button or dial the Call Back code ‘566’. For an SLT, hook-
flash to receive dial tone prior to dialing the Call Back code.
2. When the confirmation tone is heard, replace the handset.
When a line is available
1. The station receives Call Back ring.
2. Lift the handset, to access the CO dial tone and place your call as normal.
Consideration
An SLT user must dial the Call Back code.
A CO line may have any number of queues at one time however, a station may have only
one CO line queue active at a time. Activating a second queue request from a station
cancels the previous request.
If the waiting station is busy and the queued CO line becomes available, the available CO
line will be directed to the next queued station, if any.
Callbacks are not subject to Pick-up.
