System Speed Dial
Description
Memory in the ipLDK-60 is allocated for 500 System Speed Dial bins with up to 24 digits each.
System Speed Dial numbers are entered by the System Attendant. The first 200 numbers
(2000 to 2199) are available for access by all stations in the system. The remaining 300
numbers are subject to COS restrictions (refer to Ref. A).
Operation
To store a number in a System Speed Dial from the System Attendant,
1. Press the [TRANS/PGM] button.
2. Press the [SPEED] button.
3. Dial the System Speed Dial bin (2000 to 2499).
4. If desired, press the CO line or Group button.
5. Dial the desired phone number, which may include special codes (up to 24 digits).
Special codes include:
[CALL BACK]
– Insert Pause key
– If stored as the first digit, it will function as Display Security. Otherwise, it will
function as a Pulse to DTMF Switchover.
[DND/FOR]
– If CO Dial Tone Detect (refer to Ref. A) is On and it is stored as the
first or second digit, and the accessed CO Line is behind the PBX mode, its function
is Dial Tone Detect. Otherwise, its function is Pause.
[FLASH]
–
If the CO Line is analog, a ‘Flash’ is inserted in the Speed Dial number.
For an ISDN line (refer to Ref. A), when stored as the first digit, the remaining digits
are sent in a keypad facility IE (Information Element) not in the normal Calling Party
Number IE.
6. Press the [HOLD/SAVE] button.
7. If desired, enter the name (up to 16 characters) by dialing 2-digits for each character.
8. Press the [HOLD/SAVE] button.
9. To store another Speed Dial number, repeat this procedure from Step 3.
To make a call using System Speed Dial from a DKT,
1. Lift the Handset or press the [On/Off] button.
2. Press the [SPEED] button.
3. Dial the System Speed Dial bin (2000 to 2499).
To make a call using System Speed Dial from a SLT,
1. Lift the handset.
2. Dial the Speed Dial access code 5 5 8.
3. Dial the System Speed Dial bin (2000 to 2499).
Consideration
If you dial an empty System Speed bin, an error tone will be heard.
