Internal, External Zone and All Call Paging
Description
A station, which is permitted to access Page facilities, can connect and transmit voice
announcements to any or all of the systems Internal and External Page zones. A DKT Station
can be assigned to receive announcements from any combination of zones or not to receive
Page announcements.
A Page Warning tone, if assigned, will be provided to the Page Zone(s) prior to the audio
connection. The user is allowed to continue the page for the Page Time-out timer after which
the user is disconnected and the Page Zone(s) is returned to idle.
Page Zones and the access codes for paging are shown in the following table.

Flexible buttons of a DKT may be assigned to access a Page Zone.
Operation
To initiate a Page announcement,
1. Lift the handset.
2. Dial the desired Page Zone code.
3. After the Page Warning tone, if assigned, make the desired announcement.
4. Replace the handset to return to idle.
Consideration
When External Page is required, appropriate external equipment should be attached to
the External Page port.
An External Control Contact may be assigned to activate when External Page is
accessed to turn on an amplifier or connect voice to the amplifier.
A station, which is in DND or busy, will not receive paging announcements.
A station, which is not allowed to Page Access, cannot initiate a Page but may still
receive announcements.
The ipLDK-60 allows only a single internal Page at a time. Attempting to initiate an
internal page including All Call Page while another internal or All Call Page is in progress
will return error tone. An internal Page is possible at the same time as another External
page except for All Call Paging.
