Automatic Fax Transfer
Description
An analog CO line assigned Automatic FAX Transfer will transfer incoming FAX calls to Station
107. When a call is received, the system will answer the call and, if FAX tone (1100Hz, 0.5s
On/3s Off repeated) is detected, the call is transferred to the FAX machine attached to Station
107. If FAX tone is not detected within the FAX Tone Detect time, the System will route the
call to the appropriate Station(s).
Consideration
For proper operation, a CO line must be assigned as the FAX CO line. Only one CO line
can be assigned for Automatic FAX Transfer.
Station 107 (port 8) is used as the FAX Station. The FAX machine should be connected
to port 8 for proper operation.
If the FAX CO line is not answered within the FAX CO call time, the incoming call will be
disconnected.
An outside caller connected to the FAX CO line will hear ring back tone while the system
attempts to detect FAX tone.
In order to transfer calls from the FAX to a FAX station, do not assign CO ring to the FAX
Station 107.
DISA, if assigned to the FAX CO line, will override operation of Automatic FAX Transfer
operation.
When the FAX machine goes idle after a FAX call, the associated CO line is released.
If the FAX CO line is disconnected during a FAX call, the CO line is released and the FAX
machine should return to an idle state.
