Station Relocation
Description
A station can be moved from one location (station port) to another without loss of any
configuration information using Station Relocation. The user activates Station Relocation,
which stores the configuration in a temporary buffer. The phone is then moved to the new
location and the configuration information copied to the new station port.
Operation
To store the station configuration to the Station Relocation buffer,
1. Press the [TRANS/PGM] button
2. Dial ‘* 1’, the Station Relocation Backup code.
3. Unplug the station.
To retrieve stored station attributes,
1. Plug the phone in at the new location.
2. Press the [TRANS/PGM] button
3. Dial ‘* 2’ the Station Relocation Retrieve code.
4. The Station Attributes are copied to the current station location.
Consideration
All information for the port of the destination station will be retained so that it may be
copied or relocated to another port.
If a different station type (12-button versus 24-button) retrieves the Relocation buffer,
Flexible button assignments may not be correct and may require reconfiguration.
DKTs must be relocated to another hybrid or digital port; a DKT cannot be relocated to an
SLT port.
