New Message Notification
Description
The Voice Mailbox services can be configured to notify a user of new messages. Each
mailbox is configured to place an outbound call to a telephone number or send an e-mail to the
user indicating new messages.
Further, by employing Cascade Mailboxes, messages marked for Urgent delivery can activate
the Message cascade sending the message to another mailbox that can provide different
notification than a normal message.
Consideration
For outbound call notification, the number and interval between notification attempts as
well as the telephone number and CO Line group for the call are configurable.
For proper operation, the CO Line used for outbound call notification should provide
answer and disconnect supervision.
For e-mail notification, an SMTP e-mail account must be established for the system to
send mails. The SMTP e-mail account information must also be configured in the
ipLDK-60.
