Dialing Security
Description
Normally, when Speed Dial (refer to Ref. A) is used, the number stored in the Speed Dial bin is
displayed in the DKT LCD. If desired, the user can disable the number display by preceding
the number with an ‘*’ when entering the Speed Dial number.
Operation
To program a speed dial number with security dialing,
1. Press the [TRANS/PGM] button.
2. Press the [SPEED] button.
3. Dial the Speed Dial bin number.
4. Press the ‘*’ button.
5. Dial the desired number and complete programming the Speed Dial as normal.
Consideration
Dialed phone numbers with Dialing Security are included in SMDR information (refer to
Ref. C).
When a call is placed with a Speed Dial assigned Display Security, the number is not
displayed if the call is transferred or recalls. Also, if Redial (refer to Ref. D) is used to
redial a previously used Speed Dial with Display Security, the number will not be
displayed.
