14.3.2
Outgoing Call ID Service
Description
When a station of ipLDK system places or answers an ISDN CO line the system will generate
the CLI or COL, as appropriate, based on the Station ISDN Attributes, ISDN CO Line Attributes,
the System ISDN Attributes and COLP/CLIP table. The generated ID will be placed in the
appropriate Call Set-up or Call Connect message back to the ISDN.
Each ISDN CO line is assigned a CLI Type, Normal (discussed later) Long CLI1 or Long CLI2.
For Long CLI1 and Long CLI2, the Long CLI1 or Long CLI2 assigned for the station make-up
the body of the Call ID. Based on the Call Type assigned to the line, the system will add the
assigned International Dial Code and My Area Code to the front of the ID. In addition, if
assigned for Outgoing Prefix Code Insertion for the ISDN CO line, My Prefix Code will also be
appended to the ID. The prefix code is enabled separately for incoming (COLP) and outgoing
(CLIP) calls.
When the CLI Type for the line is ‘Normal’ and the COLP and CLIP Table Index for the ISDN
CO line is unassigned (5 0), the system will determine the ID from the Station ISDN Attributes.
The system will generate the CID using the extension (EXT) or CO line Attendant (ATD).
When assigned for EXT, the station CLI Type is set for Short or Long CLI. For Short CLI, the
assigned ISDN CLI Station number (up to 4-digits) is used and for Long CLI the Long Sta CLI
(up to 12 digits) is used. The body of the ID is then determined as the EXT or ATD number.
Based on the Call Type assigned to the line, the system will add the assigned International Dial
Code and My Area Code to the front of the ID. In addition, if assigned for Outgoing Prefix
Code Insertion for the ISDN CO line, My Area Prefix Code will also be appended to the ID.
The prefix code is enabled separately for incoming (COLP) and outgoing (CLIP) calls.
Consideration
If Calling/Connected Line Identification Restriction (refer to REF A.) is enabled for the
station and is supported by the ISDN, the system will send the restriction message in
place of the CLI or COL.
