11.5.13 Recording User Greetings
Description
Station users with VMIB access can record a Primary and Temporary User Greeting.
Normally, when a call is sent to the user’s mailbox, the primary greeting is played. When a
Temporary Greeting is recorded, the caller receives the temporary greeting in place of the
primary greeting. The primary greeting can thus be recorded once and the temporary greeting
recorded for unusual absence such as an extended business trip.
Operation
To record a User Greeting at a station,
1. Press the [Callback] button or dial ‘5 7 1’.
2. Dial ‘2’ during or after the Main Menu.
3. Follow Voice prompts to
Play a Greeting
Record a Greeting
Delete a Greeting
4. After the record greeting prompt, any existing greeting is played.
5. Dial ‘#’ and start recording after the beep.
Consideration

There is no time limit on an individual User Greeting.

When recorded, the Temporary Greeting is played. To revert to the primary greeting, the
Temporary greeting must be deleted.

Greetings may also be recorded from an Administrative Mailbox.
Admin Programming
VMIB Access (PGM 113, Flexible button 2)
Permits the station access to the VMIB and a voice mail-box
Administrative Mailbox (PGM 127, Flexible button 2)
Enables access to Admin features including recording greetings
