VOIP Networking
Description
When ipLDK systems are networked using a H.323, additional features are supported
employing H.450.01-12. The CO lines (individual VOIB channels) must be correctly assigned
for DID/MSN service and appropriate DID configuration (DID Conversion Type and DID Digit
Mask) must be assigned. In addition, various Networking parameters must be set based on
the functions needed (internal calling, CO Transit Out, Network CO Line Groups and Network
Numbering Plan) to support a Uniform Numbering Plan.
Network configuration with VoIP is the similar to ISDN QSig Network configuration with the
addition of assigning the ‘CPN IP Information’ and configuring the VOIB. The CPN IP
Information is defined for each Network Numbering Plan code to identify the IP address of the
VOIB to receive network call.
Assign a Uniform Numbering Plan at each system,
1. Assign unique station numbers to each system (PGM 105)
Assign the basic CO line parameters
2. Determine the CO line numbers for the VOIB channels for networking, e.g., 07 to 14
3. Under CO Line Service Type (PGM 140) assign the CO lines for DID/MSN service
4. Assign the CO lines to the proper DID digit Conversion type, conversion type can be:
0 – modify the digits with the DID Digit Mask
1 – no conversion required, received digits are a station number
2 – modify as in type 0, use the result as index to Flexible DID Conversion Table, PGM 231
5. Assign the appropriate digit modification
DID
Remove
Digits
DID Digit Mask
Flexible DID Conversion Table, type ‘2’ only, PGM 231
DID/DISA Destination Table, PGM 167
Configure the VOIB IP channels, PGM 340
6. VOIP IP Settings
Enable the Networking function, PGM 320
7. Turn on Networking Enable
Assign the attributes for networked CO lines, PGM 322
8. Assign the CO lines to a Network CO line Group.
9. Define the function of the Network CO line group
PSTN, use to place a call that terminates to a public network
Net, use to access internal stations, paging, etc. in a networked system
Assign the Network Numbering Plan PGM 324
10. Enter Numbering Plan Table code index (00 – 71)
11. Assign function for the Network Numbering code
