12.3 SMDR (Station Message Detail Recording)
Description
SMDR (Station Message Detail Recording) provides detailed information on incoming and
outgoing calls. Information detailed in the SMDR record includes outgoing CO Line, dialed
number, time, date, station that placed or answered the call, duration of call, etc. ipLDK
SMDR assignable options permit recording of all external calls, all external outgoing calls or
long distance toll calls, calls that exceed a fixed duration and intercom calls including Page and
SMS activity.
Detailed call records either are output upon completion of the call (real-time) or stored in
system memory. When stored, an output of the stored information can be requested by the
System Attendant. Each SMDR record contains the following:
5-digit station call originator (terminating for incoming) field
3-digit used CO line field
8-digit call duration field (HH:MM:SS)
8-digit year, month, and day (YY/MM/DD)
5-digit time-of-day call originator field
1-digit call identification digit-first digit in digit dial field
18-digit collected dial digit field
2-digit account group number field
5-digit pulse metering count field
10-digit call cost field
12-digit account code field

Operation
To print SMDR, from the System Attendant,
1. Connect the device to receive call records to the system serial port
2. Press the [TRANS/PGM] button.
3. Dial ‘0 1 1 1’ (Station Base) or ‘0 1 1 3’ (Group Base).
4. Enter the Station or Group range.
5. SMDR records are sent to the connected device.
To delete SMDR records, from the System Attendant,
1. Press the [TRANS/PGM] button.
2. Dial ‘0 1 1 2’ (Station Base) or ‘0 1 1 4’ (Group Base).
3. Enter the Station or Account Group range.
4. Press the [HOLD/SAVE] button
To abort SMDR printing from the Attendant,
1. Press the [TRANS/PGM] button.
2. Dial ‘0 1 1 6’, printing is cancelled.
