Maintenance

z

Remove the absorber canister by turning it 
clockwise.

z

Empty the expired CO

2

 absorbent from the 

absorber into an appropriate refuse container.

z

Fill the absorber with fresh CO

2

 absorbent.

Fit the absorber canister into position below the 
breathing system and turn it counterclockwise 
as far as possible.

CLIC Adapter*

The disposable CLIC adapter absorber can also be 
used on the Fabius MRI. For information on install-
ing the CLIC adapter, consult its Instructions for 
Use.

Checking Readiness for Operation

Perform the Daily and Preuse Checkout procedure 
provided in the Appendix of this manual to ensure 
that the machine is ready for operation.

NOTE

Ensure that no CO

2

 absorbent dust/particles have 

been deposited between the gaskets and sealing 
surfaces. Such dust and particles can cause leaks 
in the system.
