Ground Screw/Jumper
Settings
The 2198-P
xxx
DC-bus power supply and 2198T-W25K-ER iTRAK power
supply have a factory-installed ground screw for grounded power distribution.
The 2198-D
xxx
-ERS3 dual-axis inverters also have a factory-installed ground
screw for grounded power distribution.
The 2198-S
xxx
-ERS3 single-axis inverters have a factory-installed ground
jumper for grounded power distribution.
Included with the 2198-D
xxx
-ERS4 dual-axis inverter connector set is a
ground screw. Install the ground screw for grounded (wye) power
configurations.
Included with the 2198-S
xxx
-ERS4 single-axis inverter connector set is a
ground jumper. Install the ground jumper for grounded (wye) power
configurations.
IMPORTANT
If you determine that you have grounded power distribution in your facility,
do not remove the ground screw from the DC-bus power supply or iTRAK
power supply. Remove the ground screw when using ungrounded, corner-
grounded, or impedance-grounded power, the Bulletin 8720MC
regenerative power supply, or any active converter.
ATTENTION:
The DC-bus power supply that supplies DC-bus voltage to the
iTRAK power supply must have a grounded-wye power configuration.
IMPORTANT
If you determine that you have grounded power distribution in your facility,
do not remove the ground screw/jumper from the 2198-
xxxx
-ERS3
inverters. Remove the ground screw/jumper when using ungrounded,
corner-grounded, or impedance-grounded power, the Bulletin 8720MC
regenerative power supply, or any active converter.
IMPORTANT
If you have grounded-wye power distribution and a 2198-P
xxx
DC-bus
power supply, install the ground screw/jumper in 2198-
xxxx
-ERS4 inverters.
EMC performance can be affected if the ground screw/jumper is not
installed. However, do not install the ground screw/jumper when using
ungrounded, corner-grounded, or impedance-grounded power, the Bulletin
8720MC regenerative power supply, or any active converter.
