Chapter 3
Mount the Kinetix 5700 Drive System
Figure 30 - 24V Connector Example
The three components assemble from left to right across the drive system.
1.
Attach wiring to 24V input wiring connector.
2.
Insert input wiring connector and T-connectors into the appropriate
drive module connectors.
3.
Insert bus-bars to connect between wiring connector and T-connectors.
Drill-hole Patterns
This section provides drill-hole patterns for Kinetix 5700 drive modules that
are mounted in zero-stack (shared-bus) configurations. Properly spaced drill-
holes are essential for engaging the zero-stack tab and cutout from module-to-
module so that the DC-bus connectors are spaced properly to accept the DC-
bus links.
Also available to assist you in mounting drive modules is the
2198-K5700-MOUNTKIT system mounting toolkit.
Follow these guidelines when mounting your drive modules.
• The DC-bus power supply (or supplies) is/are always mounted in the far
left position.
• Inverter modules with the highest power rating are always mounted to
the left of any inverter module with a lower power rating.
