Exchanging Messages and Using Outlook
7.1 E-mail and Text Messages
Messaging
is where all of your e-mail accounts and your text message account
are located. You can send and receive Outlook e-mail, Internet e-mail through
an Internet service provider (ISP), as well as SMS (Short Messaging Service) text
messages using your mobile phone network. You can also access e-mail from
work using a VPN connection.
E-mail Setup Wizard
The E-mail Setup Wizard makes it easy and simple to set up your Outlook e-mail
and POP3/IMAP4 accounts on your Ameo.
Settings for accessing free web mail such as Yahoo and Gmail as well as pre-
provisioned e-mail account settings are also already included in the wizard. All
you need to do is to provide your e-mail address, user name and password to
complete the setup.
To set up e-mail accounts using E-mail Setup Wizard
1. Tap
Start > Messages > Email Setup
.
2. On the E-mail Setup screen, tap the
Your e-mail provider
box and scroll
down to view the list of e-mail providers.
3. Select the e-mail provider that you want, then tap
Next
.
4. Enter the e-mail address that you use, then tap
Next
.
5. Enter a display name (such as your complete name), your user name and
password. Select the
Save password
check box, then tap
Next
.
6. On the next two screens, settings are already provided. Tap
Next
twice to
proceed to the last screen.
7. Tap
Finish
.
8. A message is then displayed, asking whether or not you want to download
e-mails. Tap
Yes
to download them to your Ameo.
9. If you have more e-mail accounts, repeat steps 1 to 9 to set them up on your
Ameo.
