3.7.6 Replacing Print Head

Replacing Procedure For Maintenance Part:Head Assy.
This part will be referred to as the Print Head in this manual.
1. Perform ink drainage operation and drain ink from all the ink path.
2. Initialize Life Counter of Print Head.

3. Move Carriage toward the center of Platen.

4. Remove carriage cover.

5. Remove screws (2 pieces) retaining Carriage Weight holder.
6. Remove Carriage Weight holder and Carriage Weight.
CAUTION
• Do not press transparent film on the side of Solenoid Head Assy with your hand.
The ink charged inside Solenoid Head Assy may be discharged.
• Be careful not to damage the transparent film on Solenoid Head Assy side panel.
NOTE
To prevent the leakage of remaining ink, place some waste media or a polynit wiper, etc.
under the removed damper.
7. Loosen the screw (1 piece) retaining Head guide leaf spring.
