6 Operation Panel Switch Functions
MITSUBISHI CNC
II - 52
(2) During interpolation
The operation is conducted according to the number of axes for which External deceleration signal is enabled.
- When External deceleration signal is enabled for one axis
When the below conditions are met, the axis (a) decelerates to the external deceleration speed.
(a) There is any axis that travels in the same direction as of External deceleration signal.
(b) The feedrate of axis (a) is exceeding the external deceleration speed.
- When External deceleration signal is enabled for two or more axes
External deceleration speed is applied when interpolation speed is exceeding the external deceleration speed.
(a) One or more axes travel in the same direction as of External deceleration signal.
(b) The lowest speed among (a) is treated as the external deceleration speed of the multiple axes.
(c) The interpolation speed of axes including (a) is exceeding the external deceleration speed (b).
6.21.3 Relation With Other Funcitons
(1) If External deceleration signal is enabled during synchronous or asynchronous tapping, the feedrate is unchanged
even though the deceleration conditions are satisfied.
(2) If External deceleration signal is enabled during thread cutting, the feedrate is unchanged even though the
deceleration conditions are satisfied.
(3) During inclined axis control, external deceleration takes effect for the commanded travel direction in the orthogonal
coordinate system.
(4) External deceleration takes effect for the travel speed of the axes in the machine coordinate system.
(5) If External deceleration signal is enabled during creep operation for home position return, the axis travels at the
external deceleration speed when the deceleration conditions are satisfied.
6.21.4 Cautions / Restrictions
PLC axis is not subject to the external deceleration function.
