4.2.4 Registering MDI Program in NC Memory
(Note 1) When the [INPUT] key is pressed without entering the program name, a setting error occurs.
(Note 2) When the entered program name already exists in the NC memory, the operation message "Overwrite this
file?(Y/N)" is displayed.
When a parameter "#8936 Delete leading 0" is set to "1", if a file name consisting only of numerical figures is
input, "0" at the head of the file name is deleted.
(Note 3) MDI programs cannot be registered in the NC memory in the following cases.
- When the setting is made for other than programs with the parameter "#1166 fixpro".
- During "Editing" is displayed.
- When the remaining size of program is smaller than the MDI program to be registered.
- When the remaining number of programs that can be registered is "0".
- Entered program name already exists in the NC memory, and the status is in automatic operation or program
restarting.
- When the program name to be input is subject to edit lock (edit lock B: 8000 to 9999, edit lock C: 9000 to
9999), the operation message "Edit lock B" or "Edit lock C" appears, and the program name cannot be
registered.
When "#8936 Delete leading 0" is set to "1", if a file name consisting only of numerical figures is input, "0" at
the head of the file name is deleted to be checked.
(Ex. When MDI registration is designated to "008000" while edit lock B is valid, the operation message "Edit
lock B" appears, and the program name cannot be registered.)
(Note 4) When a parameter "#8936 Delete leading 0" is set to "1", if a file name consisting only of numerical figures is
input, a file is newly created with the "0" at the head of the name deleted.
However, if the file name is out of the range between 1 and 99999999, the leading "0" is not deleted.
This also applies to MTB macros.
(Note 5) If the file to be registered is being edited in the custom screen, the operation message "Read-only file - Can't
edit" appears and may not be registered.
