Place a fresh bottle of alkaline buffer on the system. Wipe reagent straw and replace bottle cap
onto the new reagent bottle.

Load reagent information from bottle bar code into the system either automatically using the
hand-held bar code reader, or manually using the keyboard. Refer to
CHAPTER 4, Reagent Load/
Calibration
in this manual.

when finished.

While priming with the alkaline buffer reagent, check the peri-pump tubing and line for leaks
or other problems. Correct as needed.

Adjust the fluid level of the Alkaline Buffer Damper Assembly. Refer to the Adjust the Fluid Level
of the Alkaline Buffer Damper Assembly procedure.
CAUTION
Pinch hazard. Keep fingers clear of the ISE module as you lower it.

Lower the ISE module by releasing the locking pin. Be careful NOT to pinch tubing as the module
is lowered.

Reinstall the ISE module cover.
